Abbreviated as USB3 AOC, the AOCFiberlink FPUC-3003 Pure Fiber USB3 Active Optical Cable is also called USB3 Optical Cable, USB3 Fiber Optical Cable, Fiber Optic USB Cable. This USB3 Active Optical Cable has two standard USB3 type-A male connectors, utilizing high flex OM1 pure fiber optical cable with TPU jacket as the transmission media, featuring maximum 5Gbps data rate, >10millions drag chain test, and transmission distance up to 100m (330ft) .
The FPUC-3003 is specifically designed to extend the EMI-free USB 3.0 signal transmission for applications where galvanic isolation is a must, such as medical devices,industrial machine vision systems, web cameras and more. If you want the cable to be backward compatible with USB2.0/1.1, a SuperTT build-in devices(also called as USB Dongle) is needed.
Gentle reminding: since it is made of pure fiber optic, the FPUC-3001 does not deliver power from the Host to Device. That is to say, this pure fiber USB3 Active Optical Cable only work with self-powered USB devices.
